姓名: 無名氏 [08/06/07(六)01:31 ID:ugOUKrtA] No.1608When an RPer starts out, he might find it natural to "Play to win". For that, it leads to Munchkinism, Powergaming, objective oriented gameplay, and CRPG-like behaviours.
If he can see past all that, the next level would be "play to lose", that is giving up obvious self-serving advantages and winning character-builds, to move closer to the core of Roleplaying, as in "what is a character?" Sometimes that might kill the character eventually, and there might not even be a heroic death. The possibility of turning into an angsty scene-stealing emo player is also there. It would still be an improvement.
The advance player "Play to Play". Power is no longer a problem. Character representation is like second nature. The player can enjoy being the character whoever that may be, and the character is just as human as the player. The end no longer justify the means, and the path is all there is to it.
You win, you lose. That's life. Point is you walk the path, like everything else you do.
